Dr. Tim Weir has been a practicing chiropractor since 1981, when he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. His love for health and healing started as a child when his dad was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He sought alternative care, and adding to that prayer and belief, what started as a prognosis of 6 months, turned into him living a full life of 32 years longer. It continues today for Dr. Weir. He believes that there is power greater than you and I....and we just need to learn how to tap into that power!
Dr. Weir's childhood also included an enormous love of music. He played a piano solo when he was 5 years old at a church campmeeting, and it has continued since then. The Weir family also loved to travel. Every year, they packed up the old Chrysler station wagon and drove the 24 hours from Wisconsin to New Port Richie, Florida for the annual family vacation at Christmas time. There are old family movies of Texas, Arizona, California, Washington and a host of other places. That was a priority for his mom and dad....to make sure that the kids were a part of the family travels to see the country.
Now Dr. Weir has taken all of these concepts and put them together in a weekly 30 minute show that helps take often complicated health topics and break them down into easy to understand bits of information. That is his gift. He mixes all of those bits with a dose of humor, and that makes the medicine a little easier to take.
One of the favorite segments deals with old fashioned home remedies that Dr. Weir got from his grandma and parents. In this segment you'll learn a couple of different health issues that can be helped with duct tape! You also may find him with a chefs apron on, in the kitchen with a local chef, giving you some great ideas on how to cook just a little healthier. The "Time for You" segment is that portion of the show that Dr. Weir has set aside to show you some great places for your family to take a vacation or a long weekend that won't break the budget. This is a favorite segment with a lot of viewers.
Finally, the producers wrap up the show with the bloopers from that episode. These of course are not Dr. Weir's fault....they are faux pas from the crew! You will hear the occasional "bleap"....faulty recording equipment.
This is not your polished, scripted, perfect show on health. It is an everyday look at how you can become healthier from someone who has been helping people for over 30 years! He's not the 150 pound super model....he's someone who struggles with things just like you, but has learned that certain choices....make all the difference!
Stick around....you may just find yourself making some different choices that change your life forever!
